Talking to CEOs

TLDR: I want to interview CEOs and ask them about business, my mom disagrees and doesn't want me to do it.

I always wanted to learn about business, my family has a business of their own but I want to be the one that hopefully expands, and reaches for the stars (I am F21).

Recently the idea of emailing CEO's to ask them for interviews was playing on my mind (ask them about questions that delve deeper from the usual, "why did you make this company etc.). I formulated questions based on research I've done on each of them and just some general questions about the business industry. But my mom strongly disagrees with me and thinks that I just need to work hard and learn from actual experience- so there's no point in asking them.

I don't mind being ignored or them thinking that it's dumb because they don't actually know me and it's within their discretion to accept the interview or not.

My mom just called me up again telling me not to do it because most rich people are unhappy and that ones that reach for that type of level end up ignoring their families etc. She thinks its pointless (which I dont understand because even if it genuinely is, im just asking a question so whats the harm in trying? she genuinely and generally supports me in my ventures its just new to me that she disagrees with this one since its not really that big of a deal?)

What's funny is that its just an interview, I'm genuinely just curious. I'm not saying I'm dropping out of school, or like stop taking my classes for these interview, I just want to know how they got to where they are now and what's there to expect, how they were able to expand etc. and hopefully the lessons I get I can decide whether or not to reach for the stars or stay where we at now and maintain it.

I had a little fight with my mom against it because I can't see the logic in her reasoning, so please enlighten me if you have thoughts about this. I am willing to learn and hopefully grow.
